Arrived a 14 or so hour ride from Denver to Minneapolis, I decided I should enjoy some alone and down time tonight.  So I turned down a few offers, went to my hotel room, did some more work and then went for a nice 30-min run.  I walked along the equivalent of Denver's 16th St Mall and then ran along the riverfront - weather, scenery, my energy level - all was perfect.

Running is a great way to see a city.  I wouldn't see as much if I was simply a walker.  Running takes me to new paths, usually a great feature of a city.

Funny story.  As I came back into the hotel, I noticed Jesse's band hanging out in the lobby and then rode the elevator up with Bill who mentioned that they were going bowling.  I thanked him for the offer but declined for that alone time.  He let me know they were leaving in half an hour if I changed my mind.

So got back to my room, took a leisurely bath and shower and put on some comfy shorts and my black tank that I like to lounge and sleep in (which is important to note as I would never wear this on the bus with all the guys - only in my own room) so I could head down to my bus and get a sandwich for dinner.  Slip on my flips, grab my backpack and head on down.  As I walk by the band bus, one of the band members gets out and is following me to my bus.  I think it's a bit odd that he's going to my bus but whatever.  I introduce myself and meet a band member.  Then Sean is getting off the bus and I still don't think too much about it.  Climbed on up the stairs and WHOA, the whole band is my bus!!  Bill then chimes in, 'you decided to join us!'  I'm a bit in shock as I thought they'd have left already and definitely didn't expect them to be taking our bus.  And I'm so not dressed as I'd prefer if I'm encountering the band!!  So I stutter out that I was just going to get some food and didn't know they were on there. :)   Side note here is I get a big smile from Jesse and was thinking about that - wonder if his environment has conditioned him to always be smiling.  Anyway, they kindly wait as I prepare my turkey sandwich and round up some other snacks. I bid them good-bye and to have fun bowling, telling Bill that I should join them next time.

It all cracked me up.
