Show trip route
Just back from a nice dinner out downtown LA with my AEG tour counterparts and Arafa, LA AEG, and Bubbles, Jesse's tour manager. The bus has arrived and we'll load up tomorrow (I flew from Sacramento to LA today). We're at the Orpheum Theatre tomorrow night, then Glendale's Jobing.com arena Fri and back to San Diego for a show Sat night. Tonight I'll sleep well in my cozy king size bed on the 20th floor of a 21-story hotel and buzzing from the wonderful glasses of pinot noir, syrah and a lovely dessert wine at dinner. ;)
Listening to my favorite - Kite - right now. I hope to see those guys perform again soon! It's a truly different experience to have your office set-up across from the star's dressing room and to see reactions, nerves, dedication, etc.
Like my new profile photo? :) As I was touring Sacramento on Sun, I realized I'd pass more for a dancer on the tour than the promoter accountant! That's ok. I can do that on my days off...and I'll impress 'em with my brains/skills on the show days. ;) I'm totally a nerd at heart, as evidenced by my tourist choices in Sacramento. Checked out the capitol bldg, Old Sacramento and the CA State Railroad Museum. The highlight was the US Post Office train at the museum. Got to hear a former worker on the rail talk about the process and his life. Sweet.
Tour peeps seem chill. I guess that must be key when you choose this world. You wouldn't last long otherwise! There are 9 on our bus for now, which means extra junk bunks. Bubbles also gave me early dibs on a bunk which was very generous of him. Top can be a little tricky to get into and apparently you roll more up there. I'll likely give up my premium middle bunk though if anyone is having trouble sleeping in their's.
Still surreal that this is my world. I'll take it, though. :) And it's so cool to see how God has prepared me for this. So many things in my past, going way back even, and then my own self-discovery over the past 2 years and an even deeper journey over the past 3 months. I'm again in awe. I suppose that's the appropriate and perfect response for my feelings toward my Creator.
Sweet dreams, my friends, from your friend/sister/aunt/daughter on the road.
