Arrived in Cesky Krumlov in another one of those I Think I Can trains and decided the day was so beautiful we would walk to our penzion. By the time we got there we regretted it. Emma thought she was back in Nepal trecking because of all the steep and windy paths making Adam want to visit Nepal less and less.
Dumped ou bags nd headed back into the town centre. Found a place alled Hotel Royal that had decking in the least Emma was in the sun, Adam sat in the shade with a jumper on as it was 10 degrees colder while Emma sunbathed. Amazing mealof mixed meats with toasted almond crust.....amazing amazing amazing...why dont more people give meat an almond crust, surely that is the obvious thing to do.
Did some more replanning and decided to give up our flight to Amsterdam and instead take a train to Berlin, stay there a couple of days and then head into Amsterdam. We love this idea the more we think about so are hoping that the train is not fully booked, there are no more train strikes or public holidays which we have encounterd more than you may imagine and, if all that goes well, that the trains run on time.
Spent the rest of the evening strolling around the city trying to wake up the bears in the castle mote and generally just exploring. Stumbled accross the cutest little restaurant in a section of the old fortification wall that served traditional czech far as we can tell trad Cyech food is meat......although they do do it well.
We realised pretty quickly the next day that there aint to much to do in this pretty little town except relax. Which was good. We did.
Tommorrow begins our scary attempt to get to Berlin without having any tickets booked. Wish us luck.
