Meanwhile I have a lie-on followed by a long walk along Na Thrangs beach. Its beautifully unspoilt scenery and there is almost nobody on the beach. Afterwards I do some people-watching followed by a swim before meeting with Fergus for lunch.
Fergus spends much of the afternoon shopping while I lie in the shade on the beach getting massages ($2) and some traditional ladies treatments ($6).
As usual a mad race to shower/pack and get to the train station on time, 6pm departure. We have reserved a soft birth, thankfully nobody joins us so we have the cabin to ourselves. A makeshift lock ensures our bags are safe. Fergus keeps a wee secret to himself - there is a mouse in the cabin!!
