Fergus and I have booked two separate tours today.

Fergus has opted to go for the two-day introductury open water scuba diving with Rainbow Divers (costing $150). This entails a ten minute test, where you must stay afloat in the water for ten minutes! Afterwards some video's and questions before some practise in a 4mtr pool.

Meanwhile Ad takes a tour of the islands off Na Thrang. Once we board our boat its very soon apparent that I am on THE lively boat. There are ten different nationalities with a very strong Spanish contingent. We have not left the dock when they are loudly singing Spanish songs, followed by our host's rap impressions and some Vietnamese songs.

We stop at a fish farm to select some lobster for todays bbq. At Mun Island we have an opportunity to try some snorkelling before taking another short spin to Mot Island. Here we have lunch (fried salt shrimp, sauted cuttlefish, lobster etc) followed by on-board entertainment. It is great craic.

The entertainment program involves Vietnamese/Spanish and English music and singing. Five of the crew comprise the boy-band (one guy on makeshift drums which doubles up as rubbish bins!). Its great fun, their sheer enthusiasm and energy makes it very very funny.

After this comes happy hour and the Floating bar opens (quiet literally an inflated tire tube with handles around the sides, we are all perched in smaller tire tubes and wrap our feet onto the handles of the bar). We play some drinking games, where I lose badly!

The afternoon rounds up with a game of beach volleyball, a Vietnamese massage and some more swimming before we head back to Na Thrang.

Fergus and I order room service and settle in to watch an english movie on TV.
