The hotel we stayed at last nite is located on the June Lake loop. It is a very scenic area with numerous lakes. The area is a very popular ski resort in Winter and recreational resort (fishing/horseriding and boating) in Summer. We spend a couple of hours investigating the countryside and the unusual Tufa formations. Tufa formations at Mono Lake are petrified springs.

Our next destination is Yosemite National Park. There are many trails, drives and recreational activities to engage in, so we must make a select choice due to time constraints, unfortunately we can't do everything.

In the end we walk along Wawona point, which offers a remarkable view of Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. We then drive to Tenaya lake for a picnic on the lake shore - its a beautiful day with mild temperatures of 90 degrees! After lunch we continue our drive through the park taking in some excellent views (such as tunnel view of Yosemite Valley and Glacier point). We take a short stroll up to Yosemite Falls and although the Falls are not as awesome as some other falls we've encountered, the Sierra Nevada mountainous backdrop and forestery makes it a spectacular sight. The view is unforgetable, Yosemite is not to be missed.
