Today we finally get some photo's uploaded and emails written before going in separate directions for the afternoon.
Fergus goes in the direction of the Field and History musuem, which hosts an extensive exhibition of earth science's, rocks, minerals and dinosours. Unfortunately, his shuttle bus doesn't arrive and he has to walk back to Navy Pier in the evening.
Meanwhile I take a walk through Millenium and Grant Parks. They are both very well maintained and have excellent views of the City, Lake Michigan, and Navy Pier. Millenium Park - Chicago's newest attraction only completed last summer - it included a spiral aluminium bridge, an acoustically designed mesh of pipes originating from a concert stage and a kidney-shaped mirror with great reflections of the city skyline. I did however take a wrong turn out of the park and found myself within the city car pound of all places!! I had to back track a couple of miles, with no food joints or food stands to replenish my energy levels.
When we both finally make it to Navy Pier, we are both famished and tired! We can just about manage the 3 block walk to TGI Fridays, we're both too hungry for experimenting with food so we rely on good old American steaks.
