Check out is not until noon so we take advantage of the free internet in the lobby and catch up on GAA news etc for the morning.

We have arranged for the car rental company to collect us and bring us to collect our car!!! However the guy at reservations mis-calculated and we end up with an additional $80 charge! ouch!

Our first stop in our shiny new Black Dodge Stratus is the city of Fort Worth, we get some lunch in The Stockyards before enjoying a game of pool in Billy Bobs! Billy Bobs is supposed to be the largest Honky-tonk in Texas! (whatever the hell a Honky-tonk is?!?!?) Fort Worth was originally ordered to be set up to protect the settlers in North Texas (around the time when Texas was part of Mexico and was rebelling) Afterwards, the town became a stopover town for cattle merchants etc and became known as cowtown!

We take a quick drive tour of Fort Worth down town before our 3 hour drive to Austin.

In Austin we do a little electronic shopping in Best buy before finding a cheap motel (only $40)!
