Breakfast in the garden followed by a five hour BUMBY drive to a small village near Chivay, the extraordinary mountain desert scenery (see photos) and UNO are the only things to occupy us on the journey.

When we finally arrive at the really tastefully decorated hotel, we are presented with a buffet lunch before we march uphill to see the Inca tombs and bones. The incas buried their dead in the feotal position!

On the way we struggled not only with altitude (again) but Cactuses, Fergus managed to one well attached to his leg!!

See photo attached of their unique "barbed wire" effort - Cactus growing on a wall of mud and stones!

After our walk we availed of the option to relax in naturally hot thermal pools and enjoyed a cool beer before returning to a big open fire in the hotel.
