Arrived on the overnite bus from Rio (about 24 hours)
at about 10, which stopped every couple of hours,
quiet comfortable - at least more so than a plane.
There are more tourist offices in the small bus
station here than we saw in all of Rio!
We found a nice hotel called Foz Village Hotel near
the town centre and were offered breakfast, declined
once we saw we had to share with wasps, flies and all
sorts of other stuff, pity cos the fruit looked fab.
Chile to change our flights, but it appeared
everywhere was shut on Sundays. Tried calling Brad in
Chili to arrange trip but to no avail and couldn{t
get thru to Millhouse hostel in BA, so really not a
good morning.
After getting frustrated with stupid phones, we headed off
to see the Falls, which to be honest were only deadly.
We spent the rest of the day at Igassu Falls - on the border of
Brazil/Argentina, they´re the largest falls in
the world, and they are fantastic.
We were a bit late arriving so didn´t get to do the
abseiling after all - park shuts at 5.30 and is closed
on the Brazil side on Monday mornings. We picked up
a few bits and bobs in the souvenir shop - so despite
having dropped a rake of stuff in Rio we´ve loaded
more on !!!
Headed back to town, found a nice little restaurant on
main st and ate outside to the music from some wee
guys car which entertained the street.
