Today was a bit of a rest day. The last week before we left was pretty crazy. There was work to be finished, we moved, then reorganized the items we moved, we hung out with a bunch of friends that week, and then at the last minute packed for this trip. So, we decided to take it easy today. We found a pretty nice Route 66 Days Inn in St. Louis. Ok, now I know Days Inn would probably not do it for everyone, but we're finding that for around $50 a stay it's a pretty good place o stay. This one had decent rooms, a good breakfast, and a huge pool. So, we slept in, got some breakfast, swam for awhile, and then leisurely got ready. After that we headed over to the Anheuser-Busch brewery in St. Louis. It's amazing how much beer that place makes. Really cool tour. Then at the end we got 2 samples each, which were full glasses. I don't drink, so Adeana got our 4 samples :-) Check the video for that one. After that it was a lot more driving. Then when we got to Springfield we were ready to get some dinner. We ended up going to San Francisco Oven, which breaks my personal rule about going to chain restaurants, but we had never heard of this one, and more importantly kids eat free on Mondays. :-) It was a good meal though. After that Monsters Inc at the motel and off to bed. See you tomorrow!
