So here it is!  After months of planning, the day to go to Europe has arrived!  The plans have certainly changed over time.  It began with Beibei and I planning to spend a month touring France; Italy; and Switzerland on our own.  Then a reality check came and we realized we could only afford one week in one country.  But what kind of adventure only lasts one week?  None!  So we searched for ways to extend this European adventure with little or no cost to us.  Its taken a number of months of research, communicating with programs, and quite a bit of frustration, but the plans are solid now.  Within an hour, I will be on a flight to Newark, which will then connect to a flight in Paris.  I'll meet Beibei in Paris where we will join a tour group that we'll go with for a week around northern France.  Then we'll head up to England where we'll be interns at a summer program for students.  These plans finally got sorted out about 2 weeks ago!

So it's all set and I look forward to the next 39 days in Europe with excitement.  The famous CBS show Survivor also is 39 days so I guess I'll be doing my own version of Survivor: Europe!  Outwit, outplay, outlast...here I come!  Not until this morning did I feel that little feeling that I'll miss some things of home.  Seeing my parents struggle with sending their baby girl overseas again made me glad I have a good home to come back to!  But first, an adventure!  39 days of Survivor Europe here I come!!!  Haha...I'm such a nerd.
