Today I ventured to Casa Loma, which was built by Sir Henry Pellatt and what a castle. Construction of the caslte started in 1912 and they were never finished to his specifications. The stables alone cost $250,000, he had really good taste. It has over 98 rooms all decorated with the most exquisite marble, gold, carved wood, beautiful furniture and paintings. The detail in each room is just incredible, for example the secret passage that leads to the wine cellar and to the stables had a small light in the ceiling that has grapes vines acid etched into it, that is the only one of its kind in the entire castle. I have decided I now want to live in a castle.
The other secret passage lead upstairs to the second floor. The house had 56 phones in it and for the time that was more than Toronto had in the city, the phone in the castle was the busiest in the city
My favourite thing of the day was the archery area, this was the first time I ever shot an arrow and it was great. I had 10 arrows and popped 3 balloons and managed to have all of my arrows in the same area, something the instructor said meant I have good form.
I then walked to the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) and spent the rest of the day there. I LOVED the ancient worlds area which had sections on ancient Egypt, Greece and Peru. There was so much to see it was great. I didn't really like the natural world area because there were just a lot of stuffed animals.

I wondered to the Ice Hockey Hall of fame today, which was packed of people and very cool. They had all sorts of things to do there and a lot of hockey items and displays. I watched a documentary about the 1972 games against Canada and USSR, it was the first time that Canada put a team together for the country and the games were full on, there was a lot of cheating going on from the USSR umpires in the final game to the point that the supporters in the crowd were calling "lets go home"
The room where they keep the Stanley Cup and other cups demonstrated how much this country loves hockey. The vaults looked like Gringotts!
Jaime and I then went and saw Harry Potter in IMAX 3D, and man that is the coolest way to see a movie. The last part of the film with all of the battles was in 3D and the sound system was crazy. Canadians invented IMAX and they are pretty proud of it.

Toronto Zoo was the stop for today and Dad you were not kidding when you said it was in the middle of nowhere, it was totally worth the train and bus ride. The zoo is huge, just walking all of the trails you would spend 4 hours there. They have the zoo set up like most in areas of habitat.
It is a really nice zoo and they have a lot of different areas and they mix a little bit of aquarium life in as well. I finally saw a Beaver, but they were hiding the their burrow and I only got crap photos of them
After a day of taking a lot of photos and walking around the world I returned to Jaime's and we all went out for dinner and saw the Simpsons movie. Spider Pig, spider pig.
10th August 07
Today was a very slow day, as Jaime was not feeling very well so we got DVDs and chilled out.
11th August 07
Today was shopping day, I spent the day in crystal shops and new age bookstores I was in heaven. Jaime needed to get some crystals for her yoga so it was a great excuse for me!
We were planning on going to Niagara Falls but we couldn't get there, all the tours were booked and a rental car was going to cost an arm and a leg and maybe a kidney. Samuel, I bought a Sugalite pendant for $25CAD, so happy.
We also visited the gay neighbourhood, called the gaybourhood and it was great, lots of shopping and very nice
There was a street festival on as well so we went to the taste of davenport festival which is a food festival. There were lots of people and food (dur) and tents for all of the Toronto sporting teams. That night we all went and saw Hairspray, which was the best movie ever! The entire crowd was getting into it and all cheering and clapping. It left you feeling so good. Jaime and Krister got up at the end and started to swing dance at the bottom of the theatre and everyone was cheering them on, that was incredibly cool.

Today Krister, Jaime and I wondered around more of Toronto. I found Brittany's mother ship which is in Yorkville. We are talking streets of Chanel, Prada, Vera Wang, Hermes, Dior and anything else with a label. The cars there are all uber expensive and the houses and apartments are Hollywood baby!
