24th July 07

Today Joel, Dave and I went on a 6 hour hike around Kalamalka Lake, I am not sure how hot it was but it was a warm day, had to be in the 30 - 35 range.

The name of the lake means "lake of many colors" and for a lake that is not Glacier feed is has beautiful color. The hike was nice, my legs were burning from all of the hiking in the Rockies so walking up some of the switchbacks was a little painful.

Some of the plants in the park were nasty and I was glad that even in the heat I was wearing my trusty hiking pants.

Today we went to BX Falls for another Hike, this track provided more shade which was nice.
We also went into town and the museum and went for a walk around. We then went to Candice's for a very nice dinner.

27th July 07

Today we went to the Kamloops Wildlife Park, which was a great opportunity to take some great photos of some wildlife. I hate however seeing them in cages, especially the eagles. But when we keep tearing down their natural habitat better protected than killed.

Mostly have been hanging around, have not been feeling very well and just trying to get better.
