Had originally planned to go to San Marcos so I could do a 7am yoga class but no classes sunday so decided to spend the day at the hotel with the dive centre. Had originally planned to do either 2 dives today or 1 today and one tomorrow but it was the Andys birthday so Sunday was out and the boat for the dives wasnt available in the arvo so the arvo was out. In the end did one dive a short way down from the dock.

Very murky water. Looked like weeds to me but Andy said it was sikt. Whatever the case this has probably been the worst dive in terms of visibility. Saw some water weeds, fish and a few volcanic rock walls. Also interesting how once you got below 10m or so the visibility started to improve. Also the colour at 15m or so was extremely yellow from the light travelling through the silt. Was a bit trippy. While the dive itself wasnt particulary exciting it was nice to just go and float around a bit.

After the dive organised a second one to visit some hot spots that appear along a fault line on Monday. Had then planned to do a yoga class at teh hotel but the instructor failed to show.

At 3:30pm a football game had been organise. Basically running around for a couple of hours chasing a ball. Given I dont play my ball skills were crap even though I was in the right place a couple of time to tap the ball in. Some of the local kids that joined us certainly had better ball skills then me. Not to hard.

In the end was knackered. Guess Im not so aclimatised after all. Also got some comments about being a fiercer player. Guess the Karat (not football) skills were kicking in and when people saw me charging in though though it was probably not a good idea to be in my way. Pity I didnt have the ball skills to slow down and get the ball.

Game finished just in time for the saturday night barbarque and party held at the hotel. Chatted with a few people and had quite a bit to drink, though given the bill I got the next day I have a feeling that not all my drinks ended up on my tab. Guess thats what happens when the owners and bar staff are all drinking as much as the guests.

Talking to andy also learned that this was a perticularly wet wet session and that the level of the water was 3m highr than normal. Guess this explains the balcony I saw under water and the fact that the dock in San Pedro was next to the straw roofed hut rather than under it since the origanl dock that was under the hut was now under water.
