Day 1
Flew into San Francisco and headed out to the hostel. Spent the afternoon just wandering around the downtown streets near my hostel .first thing that really sticks out about the place is the number of homeless people around the place.

Day 2

Decided that at the very least I needed to head out and see the Golden Gate bridge. Caught a couple of buses through the city to reach the bridge and went for a wander about half way across. Got some nice views of the city and Alcatraz from the bridge. From there wandered along the shoreline park down to the water and then onto Fort Point before heading back to the bus stop. Lots of cyclists around the place and I guess this is a good way to see the bridge and parks along the coast.

Went to catch the bus back but got the one going the wrong way so had to get off and catch the one heading back. After getting my bags caught the train out to Dans place where 'I was spending a few night. Ended up going to a karate class at the club he goes to and did a class and found it interesting enough given the guy running it does sabukai goju.

Went out for a drink after training and chatted with the instructor who knows a few of the guys I also have met. Had him punch me and while it was hard wouldnt say it was good. Strangely enough ended up getting a call thanking me about some of the comments I made about punching.
