Found a bus to Zahara and decided to spend a day near the lake I had seen on my way to Ronda. Bus arrived at the bottom of the town and thankfully it was near the place I was going to stay at so I didnt have to wander around town trying to find bed. Bit expensive but not a lot of options available.

Wandered up through the town to the lookout which had some nice views of the lake. Tried to visit the visitor center in order to try for a permit to go into one of the wilderness areas but it wasnt open. Before leaving found that it appears that the place never opens. Guess I should have tried for the permit in Rhonda.

Wandered up the hill. No real trail. Only a few paths and had to take a few detours in order to avoid some dogs. Made it to the top and eventually ran into a fence. Not sure if private property or the boundary of the nearby wilderness area. Had planned to hike up the road and around the mountain but decided the top of the hill was probably the best view I was going to get. Would of headed down the valley, up a road and up the nearby hill (lot better view) but wasnt sure if I was going to run into a fence or not so decided against it.

Headed back down, wandered around town a bit and then back to the hostel.
