We are in Bangalore, in the southern part of India on a layover. I hope no one is worried about our lack of travel blog posts lately - we have had quite a busy/hectic/wonderful/trying few days. Adam is getting you all up to speed on our time in Jaipur while I type this message. We've found internet in the Bangalore airport at Coffee Day Cafe!! Already the southern part of India seems a bit more welcoming and modern than the North - at least at first glance.
Soon we'll be in Kottayam in the state of Kerala. We are very excited to have a break from the North and experience something new. I just stepped outside to see the skyline dotted with palm trees and feel the balmy heat of 75 degree weather. It was wonderful.
Tonight we stay at a guest house named Theravadu in Kottayam and tomorrow night we've chartered a houseboat of our very own called a Kettu Vallam, which is a bamboo house boat. Our boat will come equipped with a private chef, room boy, and "captain."
We'll post about that soon!
