Where I stayed
Some Hotel! lol!
We checked into our hotel and went out to grab some food. All of the boys who were on camp went but Gail stayed at Denham Springs. Once we had eaten we headed to get some booze and went back to the hotel and got the party started. It was only about 8pm at this point but Bourbon Street was hectic.
When we got out to Bourbon street it was amazing, hundreds of bars and people everywhere with Mardi Grais beads around there neck. People were throwing beads down to us from balconies and women were exposing themselves in exchange for these beads ( crazy, and disgusting ha ha). We started off trying a few bars but Zach and Calum were under 21 so they weren't aloud in anywhere so they went back to drink at hotel and we found what ended up being a Booby bar ha ha
We had a few drinks there and then hit a bar with a live band it was a great atmosphere in there and this is where we got a few drinks in. Bourbon Street isn't cheap but every bar is amazing. We bar hopped the whole night and had a scream. Scariest part of my night was getting chased around New Orleans by 2 hookers in there car telling to get in there car or else ha ha, I told them in not the nicest way possible to go away but they were persistent (very scary women).
Basically ended up out till 6:45am absolutely drunk out of my head but was well worth it. Four of the boys had to leave early to drive back to Texas but me and Aled were ok for a lie in because we were only driving back to Denham Springs because we were coaching there again the week after. Calum had been given the biggest beads in the world and he had left them in our hotel room (see pics for the size of the freaking beads). So I put them around my neck for when me and Aled went to get food, every two seconds someone would say "Dude you have somke big balls!" to which my reply in a very hungover manner would be "You shouldn't be looking!" Ha! Worked a charm every time.
We ended up eating in Arby's which had a Queue of about 50 people, there was the biggest convention since Hurricane Katrina hit in town that weekend so every food place was stupidly busy. We stood there for what felt like an eternity had food and went back to get the car. Aled drove home which was nice, got back to Gary's about 2pm and then had a go on the big water slide that he had hired for his daughters birthday, I loved it!
Love to all
