Monday in Amsterdam

Well, today I have perfected a group of coffeshops that all have wireless innternet for free. I can't aalways plug in so sometime I am limited in how long I can be online.

Fire behind Centraal Station

Today I got a late start. I slept very well last night. I don't always sleep well, but I have been taking the extra pain pill and I feel pretty goo as of late. I did bring my heating pad. I use it for releif from muscle cramps, but this time I started using it to warm the bed before I get into it. I don't sleep with it on as I once burnt myself pretty bad sleeping on a heating pad. But I will use it on my back if I am sore and the turn it off before I fall asleep....

Well last night it got pretty cold....I guess I should look up the temp. an let you know what it actually was....ok it was 32F...Now being from The D that's not that cold....I actually tell people that no matter hat time of the year I come the weather is always better tan in Detroit. I heard a rumer that it should be sixty on wed, but I look at a weather site and they are only predicting 45F.....not bad....Anyway when I get back to my hotel room I turn the puter on as it is really my onl for of in room entertainment. I carry some movies with me and I listen to alot of podcasts......and then there is the itunes 369.1 days of music.....

most nights I bring some sort of late night snack. Finding good food late night is tought. there are many places selling for, much of which I don't eat.....fries....baked goods....Schwarma Shacks (shit shacks) BUT I have my haunts.....a falafel stand, and a chickeen place are my favorites, sometime I'll buy sushi and keep it on my ledge outside and eat that when I get back...... I will do a food review at some point

I headed out to The Dolphins, where I met Sinclair...they have free wifi.....the place is wild.....the walls are covered with that expanding foam stuff colored to look like you are underwater...they cut and shaped all kinds of cool shelfs and cubby holes....really neat I will try to get a photo....I was there last night and walked home as the trams stop at midnight and they closed at 1am so I had to walk. It taks about 2o mins and is a nice walk. I noticed just around the corner from The Dolphins there was atobbacco shop. So today on my way there I stopped in....What a great place...I treated myself to a box of Cuban Cohiba small cigars. Box of 25 160 euro...OUCH!!!! but this is the Cadillac Luggage trip and my late grandfather Al Brook would be proud that I bought the whole box. I wish he were alive I would send him one in the mail and hope it got there...(NOTE TO US CUSTOMS: I will not be bringing any back....They will all be smoked in Holland, but I am sure you'll look......) Actually I will have them gone by the 16th as my girlfriend will be joining me and to say she does not appreciate the cigar smoke would actually be poking fun at her......let's just say I don't smoke cigars around her.

Will Dawson

Hit the regular spots thoughout the day and hung at the Sensi with the guys for a while and fat mouthed then I needed to split it was almost 6 and EVERYTHING (non-tourist) closes. I had to go exchange some money and then head to see a guy I know who sells wholesale, and being the good retailer I am I always prefer wholesale...and it's super silver haze....best I've seen as I was walking down the Damrak I saw that there was something on fire behind the entral Station....I took some photos and posted them......I am sure in the next few days I can learn what was actually on fire....lots of smoke.......

Stopped at the 420 and saw Sinclair off. He is headed to Rotterdam to see his peeps there. We are still working on procuring housing for him so he is going to spend a few days there and hopefully by time he gets back I will have it sorted out. Will Dawson was there with his buddy AJ. AJ goes to University of Amsterdam and runs/works on/is involved in cable access at the University. I told him about my involvement in the HASH BASH and he said maybe a show on it? I talked about doing a Sinclair radio show on his tv show...Like Imus or Stern....we will see....
