Done the last 2 dives before heading off back to dry land. The last dive was a wreck dive :) COOL!!! some old dredger had sank 10 years ago and was effectively a breeding ground for everything that lived in the sea!. It was also a haven for HUGE JELLYFISH! not cool! :( Dodging the jellies was a nightmare, they were all over the place,..hundreds of them. The fish were eating them and dropping bits of the tenticles in the water so our skin was tingling all the time. It was worth it tho, we saw a full grown leopard shark right in front of us, it swam off when we were only a couple of feet from it :)
Back in Khao Lak we tried to get out of town ASAP but our only option was to go first to Phuket, stay overnight then bus it again the next day...OR stay in Khao Lak overnight then get the public bus in the morning. After all you hear of Phuket, we chose the latter! If we manage to travel the entirity of Thailand without seeing Phuket we will be VERY happy!
The dive crew had a whole one night off before the next trip left so we tagged along for eats and a beer or ten :) It was a nice end to a great trip.
