One more day in Hanoi and Kim isn't very well so we have a very lazy evening in and a late breakfast overlooking the manic streets in the teeming rain. After putting kim back to bed i decide to do something with the rest of the afternoon and headed out onto the street of Hanoi with just the guidebook and some cash. I wandered through the markets and the street vendors, surprisingly a lot less hassled than when we walk around as a couple. Bia Hoi is a tradition in hanoi and all it is is essentially a shop doorway, with a large Keg of fresh beer and some plastic tables and chairs. The beer is brewed locally and without preservatives of any kind and tastes amazing. It is also renowed for being the cheapest beer on the planet at only 2000dong a pint (about 5p). I went from here back through the back street and then found my way back to the hotel, kim managed to get up again for food and we found somewhere local and then got a Cyclo back as its something of a tourist 'must do' in Vietnam. You get them in Covent Garden too but the traffic here adds something of an edge when you are the crumple zone.
