Well when i woke up today i never thought it would be the day to end all days. The day that i had been dreading.

I was off to the town of Murfreesboro, TN which was bout a 350 mile trip. Not one of my longest drives but not far off. The weather was great i had plenty of good music, fags and water. The views were spectacular. Lots of rivers with huge bridges and lots of woodlands and little towns along the way. These are the places that i wanted to see.Its the places you see in the films that have a population of about 300 and all related. The route was littered with these places. Brought back memories of the film Deliverance except no one was playing a banjo. I choose the town of Murfreesboror cause it was a typical sounding mid American town that no one has heard of. Redneck country.

I had learnt my lesson the previous days with the sun so i had some factor million to put on and also thought if i could lighten my hair up with it being in the sun all day. So i brought a sun spray that lightens your hair with the sun. Never been light before except when i was little. Worth a try.

Did not take as long as i expected and with stopping only once i did the drive in about 5 hrs. The roads were all highways so you could zip along but just keeping an eye out for the law. Up came my turning to get into murfreesboro and my hotel was just a few hundred meters after i turned off. THEN DISASTER HAPPENED!!!!!   I had a double blow out of the tires. Both right hand sides went at the same time.I bounced of the kerb into the turning for the hotel and ended up in a small ditch. I managed to drive the car out and park it in  front of the hotel. Two rips on both tires. Glad it did not happen a few minutes earlier when i was doing 80mph. Might not of been typing this now.

At the beginning of the trip i was urming and arghing whether to get the road side assistance cover. Seen as i was driving over 5000 miles i should and i am glad i did. I read up on the policy and it covered me or replacement tires. Easy i thought.Oh how i was wrong. I phoned National car hire up to explain the problem and the bloke said no problem, we will just replace the car. OK i thought s thats easy.Except not with a convertible.DON'T THINK SO!!!!! i asked if i would get another convertible if i took the other car he said very unlikely. So i said the policy covers the replacement of tires.Just get me towed to a garage and replace them. His answer was priceless and i wonder if he had any training for the job " its too much hassle to try and get you new tires just take the replacement car" WOW!!!! No its not to much hassle. I WANT TIRES FOR MY PIMP MOBILE!!!!  So i decided to hunt some tires down and within minutes  i had got a garage that could get me the exact tires. So i passed on this information again to the bloke at National who said he will talk to the garage. He came back and said it will take 3-4 days to get them, just take the replacement car.. Very strange i told him.The garage said they can have them by morning. I wonder if he actually bothered to talk to the garage. By this stage i was spitting blood, literally as i have a gum infection, and asked to talk to a manager. This got the man shitting his pants. Luckily he changed his tone and allowed for the cost of two tires to be fitted to the car at no cost. Damm right no cost.. What the F@#K did i just pay $200 for roadside for...

Unfortunately this was not going to be done till the morning. So with out a car i had to walk for my tea. What a nightmare. Fancy having to walk to a drive-Thur for your tea. Never mind it cant get worse tomorrow.OH IT COULD AND DID !!!!!!!
