Most of the morning was spent recovering, but we eventually made it out by midday for lunch. Turns out the others had decided to go to a vegetarian restaurant - a pretentious organic pumpkin soup set me back almost 30 pesos. I would have preferred a thick Argentinian steak.
After picking up a bottle of Fernet (a medicinal tasting drink that the Italians brought with them) we headed back to the hostel. Having decided that I would try and meet some new people I ended up going to a pizzeria with a group of 10 Brazilian guys; it becomes difficult to meet new people when you are travelling in such a large group. By the time I got back everyone was playing cards at the table and after a game of Fantana we headed to the club next door. It was pretty bad to be honest... the music was cheesy, but not cheesy enough to be funny. It was almost empty and the people weren't fun at all. We still had a good time amongst ourselves.
As a result of last night's antics, today we have been in our new hostel (the one that we thought didn't exist, but was actually one door down) playing PS2.
For lunch I finally got a steak sandwich at a street side parilla. It was glorious. A perfectly cooked steak in a french style baguette with chimmichurri and mayonnaise is the perfect hangover cure. The wine was even cheaper than coke or water and altogether I spent 20 pesos on the meal. The owner was very friendly, surprised that we gringos had decided to come to his restaurant.
I suppose I better do my washing and call my parents, it's been a while since I have done either.
