Where I stayed
Still at home...packing

I admit that I am a ridiculous packer. My bag- to-trip-length ratio is always disproportionate. I always pack too much. When we travel I always make sure that I have enough outfits in case something jumps off. I mean I need to be able to go from business to bistro to beach to bar and back. This trip is no different. I am up to my old packing habits...this time worse, however.

I have never been to Costa Rica. I have read a lot about it and I know that it is modern and developed. Something in me just won't let go of the fact that it is not home.
"Are you going camping?" My husband asked me as I was putting the finishing touches on my toiletry bag.

4 towels 8 wash cloths. I read that even at some of the best hotels don't offer washcloths and that to me is just nasty. I mean there is only so much my hand can (and should) do.
3 bars of Olay soap. My skin is sensitive and I need to make sure the PH balance stays the same.
Tide and Downy. I am sure there is some sort of national detergent. I just can't be sure that it will be like Mountain Spring tide or that Downy in the purple bottle.
Clothes pins and line. I read somewhere that I should have that. No I don't remember the source or why I should have it, but I do.
4 rolls of Cottonelle toilet tissue. Because my boon has become accustomed to a certain softness.
3 curling irons in various sizes. Who knows if I will find a descent hairdresser and I need to always look my best
Soft Scrub and a sponge because everybody doesn't clean the same

Robitussin because everybody know that "a little Tussin cures it all"

First aid kit. I mean I was a girl scout and we were taught to always be prepared
Insect repellent
Lotion and Vaseline and Cocoa butter
Personal items
Shaving cream
Tooth paste/Tooth brush
Umbrella and poncho and raincoat
2 bed scarves
2 pillow cases.
I just feel like I need to be prepared for any and everything.

When I packed my clothes, I think my husband gave up.
All the shoes, shirts, pants, skirts and dresses did not bother him. But 61 pair of underpants sent him into somewhat of a tizzy.
So I packed 61 pair of underpants. Sorry for wanting to make sure I had enough. That's 2 a day. I am a lady and I need to feel secure in my under amour. Jeez.
