Finally here! Woke up and finally starting to unwind -- moving and packing in 2 days was worse than expected, our joints ache, muscles were fatigued and tempers flared. Jon "attacked" my mum with a bike seat and in turn the bike chain attacked Jon's knuckles - it was a bloody mess everywhere. I seem to be the only one that made it through intact. Not to worry it was all an accident and mum's lip is healing fast (in his defense he did advise her to stand back out of the way but being the helpful mum she is she edged closer to hold the bike in place and WHAM.) Unfortunately Jon is now also limping due to his ankle getting sprained somewhere along the way...he was feeling very sorry for himself this morning (hence the pic of him with frozen fish on his foot) -- hopefully he'll feel better later.

Firstly going to go check out Harvey the RV and see what's needed and then off to Walmart for supplies. It's slightly colder here than I anticipated, but it's very beautiful so I won't complain. Of course in my 60 pound bag I packed everything except the one pair of useful shoes I wish I had now, ohh well that's life.

Hoping to meet up with Megs later in the city for some after work cocktails! We are located slightly outside of San Francisco, so we're going to take a ferry across the bay which I'm excited about.

Hey Abi, glad you made it to CA safely! Did you guys check out Alcatraz? I definitely think it's a tour worth taking.
