Hey Everyone!

First of all i am sorry for the poor effort on the blog front, it seems like a lifetime ago that i wrote the last entry. I am sitting now in a very different setting to the last time i updated you all on what i have been doing. I guess i should track back about four weeks to when i last wrote.

Last time i wrote i was in the final week of camp, and what i final week it was. I would have to say that it was the best week, even though everyone was so tired everyone just wanted to enjoy it cuase we all knew we would never be in the same situation again. The final night with all the kids was friday night, but it was also the final night with all the staff as all the german staff and english teachers were leaving on the saturday. So after our celbrations with the kids at our "Hollywood" Themed disco the staff celbrated on. I did feel half sorry for the 3 staff that were sadly on duty, oh well better them then me, haha! It was a really good night, a lot of tears cause everyone was going off to different parts of the world, two teachers to teach in spain, one in brazil, another to belgium, and three of the germans going back home. I think it was the hardest cause i knew that i might never see some of them again. Saturday involved packing everything up, putting down bunk beds and that sort of fun stuff.

After all the hard work the school that we were staying at put on a wonderful party for the remaining staff, it was really nice cause all the cooks and that came along as well. But don't worry guys those two nights were the warm up nights for the big end of summer party. Early on Sunday morning we woke up and made the 4 hour bus drive back to Stowmarket where Kids Klub put on a pretty amazing party. It was a very good night, heaps of fun and it was great to see some of the people that i had met at induction week. There were prizes, i was nominated for two, best overseas vistor and best newie, but sadly i came away with nothing. But my centre did win centre of the year which is all that matters. Overall a pretty amazing time.

The next morining not feeling too great i dragged myself out of bed at 10am as Fran's (a friend from camp)brother was coming to pick us up. Suprisingly enough six weeks was not enough for fran and she invited me back to her house. She lives up in the midlands near Nottingham in a town called Mansfield, it was a really nice week there and it was nice to be welcomed into a family home, but it did make me realize how much i missed my own. After a week staying with fran i made the journey down to a small little village about an hour out of london called Hastings where i was to stay a few nights with another friend from camp Sam. It was really nice staying in a small village, i have decided that if i was to ever move to England it would be to live in a village a little bit out of a main town, i just love the feeling.

This brings me to a little saturday morning a couple of weeks back when i dragged myself out of bed to get to the airport to meet a little girl by the name of Jessica Kortum. It was great to see a face that i knew 6 weeks ago, she looked bloody tired though and gosh did she have some bags.

The following morning i once again dragged myself out of bed to find my way to the airport, jess and i were off on a little backpacking adventure. We stopped over in Switzerland, we had 7 hours so we made our way into Zurich, were we rented some free bikes (still wondering why they were free). It was a nice afternoon, however on the way back jess felt the need to make a new friend so she hit the sidewalk pretty hard, lets just say it was love at first sight. She came away a bit bloody and with a bit of a cut, but hey we were backpacking now and that was not going to stop us. We caught our plane to Prague and after 45 minutes wondering in circles we made it to our hostel, to find we had traveled halfway across the world to share a room with three others from melbourne.

We spent the next few days wondering the streets of Prague, what an amazing city...we just speant hours walking the streets. We then made our way to Cesky Krumlov which is a really nice little town, we pretty much relaxed there, went rafting down the river with two americans, two guys from brisbane and an english men, and saw the amazing castle. We had a few days to spare so we made our way to Austria, to vinnia. You would all be very proud of us, we went to a mozart concert, it was actually really good, but of course afterwards we made our way to the Australian Pub just around the corner.

Anyway after a few days there, we caught the bus back here to prague. Two more nights here, one in london then off to oxford.....
