Hello Beautifuls,

At the moment I am in Quito, Ecaudor and have commenced my Voluntary Program, which is pretty excited. We are currently just participating in Spanish Lessons, which are greatly needed, as no one here speaks English and if they do it is very basic, so it has been quite difficult for us. Kitty and I have our won flat in Quito which is really good as it nice to be stationed in the one place for more than three days, also our Spanish tutor comes to us. Quito is great its a really pretty city, it is divided into two sections the Old Twon and the New Town. Quito can be a bit scary though as Kitty and I can not go out in the dark, which is something you just take for granted.

For the past two weeks we have been in Chilie, which was wonderful, we had a absolute ball here. We firstly went to La Serena which is 7 hours North of Satniago on the coast. We stayed in a tent in the back yard of a Shoe Makers, there were other people staying there too, they were all fair trippers but were a lot of fun. We went to the Chillian Version of Australian Idol and Kitty and I got on National TV, we also went to a rave on the beach where Kitty and our Friend got up on stage and did a bit of DJ´ing.

We then went to Villarica in the Lake District and climbed the active Volcano, its the most active in the whole entire Andes Region. It was a four hour hike up, it was the hardest thing Ive ever down, its 3000 feet high. You hike up through the snow with your pitch fork, its like being on one of those action movies. It was hard but when we got to the top it was absolutely amazing, you could see the best vies and we walked right around the top and when you looked in you could see lava, the sulphur was intense though and you could not breath at times so we had to put masks on. On the way down was so much fun, as it had just dumped 2m of fresh powder, it slid nearly the whole way down on our bums and when you did have to walk it was like skiing on you feet. It was scary a lot of time, but I can not even begin to describe what an amazing experience it was.

Our last stop in Chilie was Vallipriso and Vina Del Mar, which is back on the beach. While we were there this massive Music Festival was on, its the biggest in all of South America, Franz were playing. So while we were here there was plenty to keep us Entertained.

Soon we will be going into our placement in the Amazon which will be awesome, it is so remote there is one canoe that goes there once a week, which is Monday at 11am. We have seen many photos and it looks absolutely beautiful.

Anyway I miss you all and hope everyone is well.

Love Always Abbie
