It is September 19th around 6:30pm. I just arrived from Amsterdam where I attended my companies annual beach volleyball event. Rusty picked me up and had Hubert in the car with him and we went straight to pick-up Rebecca and Christopher who were spending this weekend with me.
On the way home, after picking up Rebecca and Chris, we were having a discussion about what to do this weekend when Rebecca suggested that we take a train ride and go out on a boat. What a great idea - she has lots of them.
Saturday morning we got up and headed out for the Metrorail station at Dadeland. We hopped onboard the Metrorail (http://www.co.miami-dade.fl.us/transit/metrorail.asp) to Government Center in downtown Miami where we crossed over onto the Metromover (http://www.co.miami-dade.fl.us/transit/metromover.asp) that took us to the Bayfront Park station (http://www.bayfrontparkmiami.com/)
Saturday night we had dinner over at our friends (aka cuz - 3rd generation) Janine's home. She invited us over for BBQ - yummy. At a certain point we could tell it was time to go as the kids needed to get to bed. Whenever they start pulling out the chainsaws you know it is time for them to go to bed :o)
We spent all of Sunday on Rusty's lake along with neighbour, and cousin, Douglas and family. All the kids went hydro sliding - you should have seen the smiles on their faces - it was super. When we were not boating all the kids were swimming. It was just another great weekend :o)
