Nick and I Yours Truely
Yours Truely
met up with three Brits and one American on the ferry ride yesterday (one of whom, Joe, we had previously met in Cairo.) The six of us went out to Wadi Rum on the 1st. We called a guide from the guide book, who called his cousin, the driver one of the two daily public buses, to find out what time it was leaving (that's how things work here.) We eventually made it out to Wadi Rum Town Rum Town

where we negotiated with the Bedouin chap who runs a set of camps.

That afternoon we were taken on a jeep tour of a good swath of Wadi Rum; visiting the sand dunes (which you climb up and then run and fall down), see some Anfashieh inscriptions (can't seem to find a date on those, but they're old), check out 'Lawrence's house' (probably nothing to do with Lawrence, but a nice vantage point), climb a rock bridge, Um Frouth Rock Bridge

before heading to more sand dunes to watch the sun set, Sunset

and finally, to our camp for the night.

The stars are amazing.
