Yet another early rise and this time we were off south to explore Salta and the Calchaqui valley. We made our way the Laureles and Escoipe gorges before climbing the majestic Cuesta del Obispo for some stunning views from just over 3000m about sea level. We then made our way into the Los Cardones national park before stopping for lunch just outside the town of Cachi. After lunch we make our way into Cachi to check out the town and buy some souvenirs. We then make our way to the town of Cafayate, visit the oldest winery in the region before heading to our hotel to crash for the night.

Tuesday morning we have a later rise which is more to my suiting and make our way back to Salta. We make some stops to take in the amazing natural scenery and arrive back in Salta mid afternoon.

God doesn’t think he’s a lawyer.
