Not going to be a long blog on this one but hopefully the pics show you a glimpse of how beautiful this part of Italy is. The dolomite mountains are north of Venice not far from the Austrian border. On our day trip we visited Longarone, Sottocastello, Misurina and finally the millionaire town of Cortina. A villa in Cortina starts at around $2million euro ($2.7millon AUD) and go up from there. This area of Italy is also fantastic for cheap, genuine sunglasses as many of the big brands are made in this area.

It was a long bug lovely day with some amazing views. Would be a special part of the world in the winter covered in snow :)

Some people are like Slinkies ... not really good for anything, but you can't help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.
