So I have decided to spilt my last few days in the Verona region into three little blogs as my three days were quiet different. I caught the short (1.5hrs) train over from Milan to Verona on Tuesday at around lunch time arriving to a beautiful day in Verona. I found my b&b and the owner was very helpful providing me with a map, a run down of the main sites and the must-try foods of the region. I will get to the foods in my next post :)

So armed with my map, my camera and a lo of water I set off to tackle as much of Verona as I could in the afternoon while the sun was shining as the weather forecast was not great for Thursday onwards. I managed to cover all the main sites of Verona in a wonderful yet busy 6hrs making my way from the Arena (near where I was staying) through the piazzas, past Juliet's house with the famous balcony, past Saint Anastasia's, across the Fiume Adige (river) and up to the Castel San Pietro (castle) at the top of the hill. From here you get amazing views of the relatively flat Verona. From there I headed back across the river to the Duomo (this building features in lots of photos) and then back through the city to the Castelvecchio. A busy yet fulfilling afternoon in the beautiful city of Verona.

I made my way back to my room, had a clean up and headed down to the local pizzeria for dinner. A pizza and some gelato later and I was nearly ready for bed. I took a stroll through the city to see its wonder at night and to walk off my gelato. The pics I have added arent the eat quality as they are off my phone but still looked amazing.

Milan didn't impress me but Verona definitely got Italy back in my good books. I went to bed ready for a day trip out to lake Garda the following day.

Remember do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience!
