We left San Francisco today - 24 hours ahead of the arrival of the Olympic flame and the associated heightened security measures. Wow was that luck! We had the pleasure of flying business class (which we thought we had purchased for the entire trip - but that's another Aeroplan story!) and sat opposite Karen Kain and Ross Petty. Not bad! AC 756 to Toronto was an Airbus 319 and once again we had fabulous tail winds that saw us arrive early in Toronto as the sun was setting. I recognized Glen Eden and Kelso as we flew across the Niagara Escarpment and couldn't get over the piles of snow still left over. Everything went smoothly and we got home where everything was in order as well. Many thanks to our watchful neighbours and Mum and Dad for the breakfast groceries. Richard is off turning the water back on so we can use the toilets, turning on the hot water heater so we have some hot water shortly and charging the car batteries so we have some transportation soon.
Wow - where did nine weeks go???
I'll save my last entry for some reflections on the countries we've just visited.
