After a final tour of Art Deco in Napier we set off across country on Hwy 5 to Lake Taupo.  There were sections where we felt as if we could be driving in Ontario.  Taupo is the busiest spot we've experienced all trip - horrendous traffic today.  Richard golfed and I walked here.  We have a lovely ground floor suite overlooking New Zealand's largest lake.  Angela and Bruce treated us to a glass of wine in the company of Koda, a Golden Retriever, and a tortoise shell cat, before we went out for dinner.
