Left Sydney on 9AM Qantas flight 419 and arrived to a sunny day in Melbourne at 10:30. Our shuttle, a Holden Statesman, kept us waiting, but checked in quickly and easily walked to Federation Square for lunch. Toured downtown for an hour on a free shuttle bus and then walked a number of lanes and alleyways. Took advantage of the 360 deg observation platform 54 storeys up in the Rialto Tower - fabulous perspective once again. Observed Chinese New Year dancing dragon opposite our hotel. Very different here compared to Sydney.
M&D doing fine-enjoying warm weather in FLA. We'll leave here to visit them Mar. 6 and back on 15th - driving. Mum hasn't picked up your blog since Library now charges for computer so I'm copying all your notes for her to read. Beautiful mid 70's this weekend -lots of gardening. Hopefully weather cooperates in Aussieland for rest of trip - better than snow! Take care. Gina
