Australia's spell of bad weather caught up with us today. After we picked up our rental car & Richard drove so capably west on the other side of the road it really socked in. The 100% humidity did not stop us from viewing Wentworth Falls and walking down the Giant Stairway (recommended only for strong walkers) to one of the famous Three Sisters Rock formation. We ate both lunch and dinner in Leura - a much more gracious and affluent town than Katoomba - tho we did check out the Lilianfels Hotel in Katoomba - an Orient Express Hotel that B&R has used in the past. The guest house fireplace was a welcome retreat after dinner.

Sorry the weather was not great as this is a remakably beautiful area and looks much better in sunshine ... it really is a blue haze in the sky.
