We arrived in rain and 10C/50F degree temperatures last night after a comfortable flight in executive class. Checked out United for space in executive for the next leg but were told to come back today. Caught the shuttle to the hotel after watching the rain pelt down from a shelter. Of course it was past 1 am Mississauga time (10 pm here) by the time we got checked in so it was off to bed. They really concentrate on sleep here - lavender spray for the pillows, eye masks, ear plugs, a soothing CD, comfortable bedding etc. This morning we went for a brisk walk along the bay area waterfront smelling eucalyptus trees, watching all kinds of different ducks ans examining the vegetation which clearly never sees snow and ice. Of course Super Bowl coverage is going full tilt - the restaurant/bar TVs were featuring it. (We just booked our next trip - sailing in the Grenadines in December 2008!!) The wonders of this technology!!
