Eric Since leaving Ioannina, we travelled through Menidion, (N 38* 40.657' E 020* 50.609') Olympia via Patra and Pyrgos. We visited Olympia ruins and the area where the torch is lit at the beginning of each Olympic game.
From there we travelled through a winding road up and down the mountains towards Tripoli with hardly any traffic. The road was good to average to quite narrow with curves from sweeping to tight to hairpin. In fact, a bit of everything. The scenery was spectacular in some places.
From Tripoli, we avoided the motorway and continued onto Argos and Athens where we stayed for 2 days.
