Back in Switzerland, still much the same weather... overcast, raining, or snowing! Decided to walk the Jura (a string of hills in central Switzerland) for the next nine days and we started of in brilliant sunshine from Balstahl on the first day. Didn't last long... by the time we got to Neuchatel four days later we had been walking in rain and cloud for the last three. Took a break in Neuchatel (to let the rain get worse) before deciding to go back to Basel to dry out there.
Took some time exploring Basel and Lausanne before heading to the southern parts of Switzerland. Stayed in a small hotel in Stels with magnificent views of the mountains, checked out "Heidiland" (Mele's idea), explored the only National Park of Switzerland in the Engadine (where we saw some native animals of Switzerland - Ibex, Chamois, and the cute little Marmots), and the Swirss-Italian Tiscino (sunshine in Lugano). Went back via Lucerne before meeting Dad in Basel.
Still no bikes! We have been assured they have arrived in Hamburg and will arrive in Basel end of April. It seems no amount of complaining can make a ship go faster, the wharfies go faster, or the truck (to Basel) go faster. At least our Shipping Agent is no longer talking to me (thanks to my email) but they are still talking to Dad.
