We started our day by driving to the Qutb Minar complex, an oasis of calm in busy New Delhi! Building started in 1193.  Central is a victory Tower, built of red sandstone, proclaiming Sultan Qutb's victory over the Hindu rulers.

Next stop, another oasis, was the tomb of Humayum, a Mughal Emperor in the 16th century.  All of these monuments are built in strict Islamic geometry, all perfectly symmetrical, including the gardens.

We toured the Parliament area; unfortunately vehicles are not allowed to stop for security reasons but drive very slowly instead!  Also saw India Gate which is where the eternal flame burns.

After lunch, we travelled to our hotel in Agra, a journey of over 200km.  The scenery along the way is very flat and agricultural.  The farming is still done by hand, the only machinery is tractors.
