The winds and dust have gone
The roaring winds and dusty haze has gone now but that means the mosquitoes were out in force last night, so much so we had to retire to the tent. Even the cleaner commented on my lumps and bumps this morning!
We decided this morning to stay in bed and not cycle to Motril as planned. So round about 11 off we went on the bikes to buy provisions for today and tomorrow. Funny, we thought, a lot of shops are shut. Turns out it's yet ANOTHER bank holiday. We had coffee in the bar of the campsite yesterday and watched some military processions but heading them up was the King of Spain, so we guessed it's something to do with that. Anyway, we found a supermarket in Roquetas that was open (there's usually something open you just got to find it) so we were able to stock up.
The rest of the day has been spent lounging around reading.
Yesterday we rang Paul & Yvonne having received two very drunken messages on the mobile from Saturday night. Matthew and Diane were in Bristol, with Paul & Yvonne, for the night, they had gone on a pub crawl and phoned us. The messages were very funny but the only bits I got were from Matthew saying '..... Lynne, I bet you still look like ... who's that actress, the one with Michael Caine?', then Diane saying 'Julie Walters', '.... yeah Julie Walters, I bet you still look like Julie Walters and Dave, I bet you're ......... I bet you're still short!'. There the message ended. We're REALLY looking forward to seeing them in a few weeks.
