Cooling down
A lovely 56km ride today, although turned out to be a lot harder than we anticipated. Firstly, the road was good pretty much most of the way, it disintegrated slightly towards the end. But it was after the first 15 kms that we had the nicest surprise, the views were spectacular. No wonder the road has a green 'scenic' label attached to it. It also distracted from the fact that the road was very up and down. The views eventually disappeared (although it was still very nice) and that's when we noticed the hills. Consequently, when we arrived in Meknes (which in itself is quite hilly) at 3.30, we were quite tired.
The Hotel Maroc is a whopping 180dh for a room with no ensuite, but the place is clean and the showers are hot. We also have a lovely chill out terrace, which we will be utilising later this evening and hanging our copious amounts of washing out on it tomorrow.
We've been to the market and bought some eggs (which have just boiled) and we're making a salad. I've been feeling like my vit c intake has slid over the past few days so it's time for a shot in the arm, sometimes, we just crave fruit and veg.
