Dad and Josh watched the sun rise together today. Here are a few of their pictures. They noted that the sun rises quite quickly here. I don't know how one would explain that.
We've been woken the last few nights/mornings by random dogs barking. Josh saw one of them this morning. He was running up and down the loop that goes near the house. Josh described him as acting like Paul Revere, giving the alert to the other neighborhood dogs.
Nearly all the females here wear bikinis at the beach, regardless of age or weight. It's somewhat emboldening. Perhaps I will buy one before the summer is over. Clearly no one here cares what I look like. I seem to own the only tankini. Josh observed that being overweight carries many health risks: "getting cholesterol, getting diabetes, getting harpooned..." Josh is always good for comic relief during the day. Alex has been periodically very sad today, in anticipation of dad leaving tomorrow. He really knows how to tug at a mom's heartstrings.

Here Comes the Sun
Wow, truly unbelievable photos. Thanks to Mike and Josh for sacrificing some shut-eye to capture and share them. Or maybe I should thank the dogs.
Sun Rise over the Rabbit Island
Hi Bridget... Yes, the sun rise is always spectacular in the morning from the villa over the Rabbit Island. As a morning person, I was up by 6:00am many times, and took pictures that looked unbelievable. Soe even asked me whether I used Adobe Photoshop to modify it... THe answer is of course, no, just plain pictures with a regular digital camera at 6.2M. I placed most of my pictures on my web site (http://www.TurkishSeaSideVilla.com) We cannot wait to go there in May.. We will be there for 3 weeks. Anything you missed you wished you purchased, please let me know. Thank you for creating this travelpod entry as it adds a lot of meaning to your travel all across Turkey. Sincerely, Levent.
