What I did
Visited St Mary's Kirk and got attacked by a lamb

On a hillside above St Mary's Loch we explored the ruins of St Mary's Kirk. In the 1630’s when the Scottish Covenanter’s objected to being forced to adopted the new English Book of Common Prayer they took to holding outdoor meetings at place such as this where they could keep an eye out for Government troops.

On the way up Bertie was attacked by a lamb. The confused beast made a couple of passes and then hoofed off with Issy in pursuit. Luckily Iss was wired for video. Tragically I don’t have any editing software with me but to be honest it’s a bit of a bun fight and everything happens very quickly so the stills as extracted are probably better.

This blog entry would have included some video of cloud shadows racing across the hillside. Quite bizarre as if the landscape itself were rippling. Unfortunately I haven’t used the camera for a while and managed to screw up the focusing. It’s a day of video techno-nightmares. More cloud shadows later in the trip perhaps.

To round off our televisual feast I inadvertently left the camera on Issy for the next couple of hours and she 'accidentally’ captured evidence of Sam trying to gain entry to the fridge. Something about which he is mightily annoyed

Genius action shots Rick!

Issy took them. It was all too scary for me.

That one of Sam in the fridge... every worst suspicion confirmed! Makes you wonder what else he gets up to, when no one's looking :)

I know. I was going to make him wear a wire the whole time but he'd probably just eat that too. Anyway it wouldn't stop him. He knows that stealing food is wrong it's just that he simply does not give a fig.
