We're tired. Some of you who have not done long term travel may find this hard to believe. You're probably thinking: 'but you're on holiday!' But we're not. A 'holiday' or 'vacation' is a break from your everyday and very different than travelling. We've made this travel our everyday life for year at least. There's a reason the word travel comes from the French traveiller (work). The last while we've been trying to cover ground and make up for longer time spent in some places (sickness). No two nights in the same place. Everyday we've been on a bus and pounding the pavement looking for a place to stay. Once found you need to eat and maybe see a site before sleeping a bit so you can do it all again. No real time to plan or look for interesting things to do, we're just  existing. Now it's starting to catch up with us and we're reaching our limits and snapping at each other (which most of you know is all the time, so imagine what it must be now!). Bangkok is the LAST place we should be right now and is just exemplifying problems. So we've decided to take a little holiday from travels and relax before heading to Malaysia and Borneo. I had at first wanted to avoid Thailand's southern beaches for their reputation. But Brian's desire for sand, water and SCUBA has won out. We've looked into a few places and I hope we've found something nice that suits us...

Okay you two!.....Now is the time to breathe, think about why you decided to take this trip, realize you probably will never do it again, and relax when times get tough!! Times like this will test all bonds, you two can conquer this....I so envy you two and can appreciate the tension when it stirs......think about that for just a minute then breathe!!!! please enjoy!! This is not forever!!

Thanks for the pep talk :) It's almost the innumerable choices that make it most difficult! We could...or we could...and how about....

So we decided to take our little holiday and we're glad we did. Unfortunately it got cut a bit close because of the passport police :(

But now we're refreshed and in a new country with new things to discover...:D

Well I can tell you this. As cool as it sounds from my nice cozy house sipping my fresh coffee, you wouldn't find me doing a trip like this even if I was dead. Traveling for me is 2 or 3 weeks max and then back to reality. Not my cup of tea but I enjoy seeing that it is yours....most of the time.

Brian says you may change your mind if you could see the fishing :)
