Travelling through SE Asia, I've come to realize there are not many stupid people here. There are lots of people doing dangerous things though. For example, the naked 2-and-a-half-year old child wielding a machete larger than himself trying to open a coconut; only to have the knife taken off him by his older (4 year-old) brother - not to stop him, but to show him how to do it properly.

Also, the young children driving motor cycles before many of the kids 'back home' have mastered 2 wheels on their bicycles or walking on 2 legs for that matter. Children here are out in the jungle spearing poisonous snakes in the head and taking them home for dinner at 8 years of age. While children back home are 24 years old, living in their parent's basement, without jobs and calling out 'Mooooom, when's dinner ready?'.

One wonders if with all of our technology, we are actually DE-evolving. In western nations we have laws to protect stupid people from dying. Like, 'hot' warnings on cups of coffee, and signs showing that fingers may be removed on rototillers. This is all common sense.

There are no stupid people in SE Asia because they are all dead. What does that say for the west? Our breeding pool is depleting rapidly and we should do something about this immediately. We need to stop creating laws to protect the stupid. There is no way that a person should be able to go to a lawyer after sticking his fingers under a lawn mower and get money from the company that built it because they didn't have a warning label detailing that his fingers may come off if shoved into the moving blade (and this would have to be in diagrams, not words, because obviously this moron is illiterate). I wish sometimes that I spoke Idiot so I could tell these people off in their own language. (t-shirt quote)
