Hot long day, so after only about 30km of fighting our way through beach towns seeing people sun bathing and eating icecream, we decided to join them! The bikes came down to the water where there were beautiful white cliffs rising off of the same and we scorched ourselves for a few hours. I thought we were getting lots of sun being on our bikes all day in it, but nothing beats the beach for a sunburn! For the first 2 months of traveling, Brian asked daily to go and sit on a beach and roast. Finally his waiting is over!
Spent the afternoon doing laundry (strange, in France they won’t supply you with toilet paper in the
bathroom, but they’ll give you soap with your laundry - LOL). Also explored what we could see of the Cliffside caves that people are still living in and walked around in the soft sand again. Had dinner in a great little Pizza shop where I somehow managed to get anchovies on mine…I guess that’s the fun of ordering food when you can’t read the menu or speak the language.
Now it’s trying for sleep with acorns raining on the tent. Oh the trails we face!
