What a mixed up day this has turned out to be`  We both felt pretty crappy this morning.  I think too much exposure, exhaustion, and sun is to cause.  I have a swollen lip that must be from sunburn, but I’m not sure.  Anyways, I’m extremely attractive and Brian keeps calling me Angelina and wants a kiss…Decided to try and take it easy today and went into town for WIFI and breaky.  Couldn’t get the adaptor to fit in the wall, or the computer plug into the adaptor!  Caused some momentary panic, but when the coffee started to take effect we were OK once again.

Went clothing shopping to replace the shirt I’d lost on the road, as well as a pair of shorts.  Most of my capris are too long and get all greasy, or are too tight once I’m cycling and my muscles are pumped.  Hopefully these will be good.

Another easy cycle day planned along the northern Welsh coast.  Things are nice and flat here in comparison.  Somehow got all turned around in the town of Abergel, but a nice bloke saw our predicament and offered to help.  Told us about a cycle path right along the shore.  This was perfect:  sun, surf, and sans traffic!  However, it took us off the main roads and out of the range of our feeble map to the point where we were climbing hills to get a view of the landscape to see the coast and compare shapes on the map to get an idea of where we were!  Seemed to work as we continued on our general path through Denganwy and across the river into Conway.  This is a wonderful way to enter the city as the formidable Castle Conway greets your entrance into the Walled City.

Brain took a turn into the castle and I thought he wanted to take a tour, but right under an arched wall was a sign for a campground - oh happy day!  And only 1 miles away. N At the first turn we had trouble deciphering which way it was pointed (vague round-a-bout), so we went down this wonderful narrow road with stone walls on either side draped in ivy and other flowers where little stone houses and horse peaked between the trees.  We were getting excited as the last camp we were sandwiched between 2 main roads and were looking forward to some quiet.  But after awhile we knew we were going the wrong way.  Stopping to have a nice chat with a lady walking her dog and feeding the neighboring horses confirmed our suspicions.  So back to the round-a-bout only to find we were 1 miles away from the campground that was straight up!  Hills are bad enough for Sharilyn, but right before your campsite at the end of the day…?  way up we asked a farmer if there was REALLY a campsite up here, or if it was just a cruel joke to play on poor unsuspecting cyclists.  The hill didn’t even end at the camp’s entrance, but continued up to registration and up further through the campground past 100’s and 100’s of sites she DIDN’T feel fit to place us at!  Thankfully our site was quiet with sweeping views of the Conway Valley and tons of little Peter Rabbits hopping about.  We think we will stay for 2 nights as it’s a good price and then we can explore the castle.
