So we've finally made it to Brazil - one day later than originally planned!  When we got to Atlanta we discovered our connecting flight was overbooked and we didn't have seats.  Nightmare!!!  Really lovely girl from Delta looked after us though and we were upgraded to $6000 Business class seats for the flight the next night and were given $200 each in cash instead - bonus round!! We also were given hotel accomodation and vouchers for all our meals.

It worked out wicked in the end cause it meant we got a day in Atlanta.  We went to cash our Delta cheques at a Bank and momentarilly left the lunch we bought outside in a brown paper bag (at least it wasn't the important bag mum!) , Neil ran back to retrieve it only to discover some homeless guy had already swiped it.  He probably needed it more than us though and if that's the only thing we lose this holiday I'll be made up!!

Went to the worlds biggest Acqurium in Altanta which was wicked!  The beluga wales, otters, sea turtles were the favourites and we were both brave and had a go in the touching pools. One of the exhibits has one of those tunnels and also a 60ft viewing window, I felt like I was in Finding Nemo. Its as big as a football pitch (American football that is) and has 50,000 fish including three whales sharks - could have sat there all day.

Felt bad that eveing though when we got on the business class flights and two of the menu items were fish the Acquarium was trying to encourage people not to eat.  I may write to Delta and inform them Groupers and Lobster may not be the best menu choices for flights out of Atlanta!!!Still the upgraded seats were a godsend as it meant we slept all the way here - oh and free alcohol!!

Neil didn't make it through any of the checkpoints without being searched- must have a dodgy look about him!

Hey you two, very glad to hear you made it safe and sound! Nice deal with the flights. Can't believe you're actually there, I'm very jealous! Enjoy, and less leaving of bags of any kind would be good! xxx
